From the time I was little I always knew I wanted to be a stay at home mom. It wasn't until I finally became one that these strange feelings began to emerge...... Guilt, fear, worry. Here I am doing what I enjoy but yet I feel bad about it. I feel guilty that I don't bring any monetary income to our family. I fear what could happen if anything ever happened to my husband. I worry about how I would provide for my family if something did happen to Brian.
I have always been a planner, so I feel lost not knowin what the plan is if something crazy should happen to our family. So lately I have been trying to think of alternative plans. Plans where I can stay home and still make a contribution to our family income. I started this morning so at this point I don't have many ideas. But would love your input should you come across this blog.
For now I will enjoy my time with my son, watching him grow day by day.......
Just a look at the daily happenings of your average housewife, striving to be an above average wife and mother!!I'll be sharing tips, tales, and trials.......Stay tuned.

So lucky!!!!
I am so blessed with a handsome husband who works hard to support us, and then comes home and works along side me. You don't find a good man like that everyday. And he melts my heart when I see him with our son. Training him up already. Michael is growing like a weed, and will be a year old in less than 2 months. I can't believe how quickly the time has gone by. 6 months ago we got the call that they had found us a little boy, and we fell in love the moment we saw him. Now it's hard to imagine that he didn't actually come from us, he is so much ours is hurts (in a good way). Just wanted to share with you how blessed I feel to have them!

Perplexed..............
Well I have a dilema, trivial as it may be and today I would like to ask for you help. These canisters have been sitting empty on my countertop now for about 3 months......I would really like to see them full, but I don't want it to be with the normal stuff ie. (sugar, flour, brown sugar). I would love your ideas on fun things to fill them with that will still be practical !
Here's a few tips for the day:
- if you have fruit that isn't ripe yet and you want it to be stick it in a paper bag with an apple, the more ripe the apple is the faster the other fruit will ripen.
- If you make your own baby food, make it then freeze it in ice cube trays then pop a few out whenever you need a serving size for baby.
- Costco baby wipes work just as good for cleaning around the house as expensive cleaning wipes, but for a fraction of the cost.
I also thought I would share a pic of my wonderful hubby with you, isn't he dreamy :)
Stay tuned!

Too hot and what not.............
Well today was too warm for my fancy so we spent most of it indoors.....
Skipped church because the little guy decided he really needed a long nap this morning. The in-laws came over and we had lunch and hung out while the hubby and his dad hung the new ceiling fan in the master bedroom. I was soooo excited, but...........now that its up, I hate it. I feel so bad. They worked so hard, and now it has to come down and go back to the store. I wish I could cry but the hubs told me not too. (This is the third fan to go back, the others were for the kitchen, luckily they did not make it out of the box......) I hope this next one is the one!!
Went to visit the grandparents for afternoon dessert, and finished off the day with a birthday dinner for a good friend of ours. Minus the fan incident it was a splendid day! Too bad it's back to the weekday grind tomorrow. Hopefully the hubby gets home early :)
*Tip of the day- when shopping for a ceiling fan, keep in mind the size of the room compared to the size of the fan..........it could save you multiple trips to the store.
Tomorrow's agenda: New london broil recipe..............

Welcome to my blog!
Well this is my first posting, and I am super excited. I look forward to sharing some of my life's experiences with you, from my son's teething to the recipe I tried this past weekend, to the disaster I had in the laundry room to my dream landscape plan for my yard. You can expect to see a little bit of everything on here. I hope you enjoy :)
Todays to do's:
Head to the local grocery, to pick up some produce (white onion, bananas, berries, lettuce, bell pepper)
Meeting with our adoption social worker this afternoon, for our once monthly get together
Wash the dishes
Look at paint colors online ( then decide which room I want to paint first), when we bought our home a year ago every room was an off white, well its time for a change
See if I can save the scotch moss in the yard by transplanting it to a sunnier spot (not looking promising)
Read up on herb planting
Head to our friends housewarming party, Congrats Mike & Sara!!
I spend a lot of time making lists because it's one of the best ways for me to plan out my day and stay organized. One of my biggest trials in life is learning to be flexible. God sure pushed me in the right direction when he taught me about true sacrifice when we had our son. Having Michael has meant giving up all of my me time. I thought it would be harder, but I look at his beautiful little face and it's so easy. Speaking of Michael, I would love to post pics of him for you all to see, but because legally we are still his fos-adopt parents I am not allowed to show him on this site or any others that are public. So we'll have a big celebration the day I can finally show him off to ya'll.
A few thoughts to leave you with.........appreciate everything the Lord has given you. Living simply can be extremely gratifying, and learning to give of yourself for the good of others, hard as it may be has so many rewards so strive towards it!! Give your life to the Lord and you will be richly blessed!
