As I sit here typing away, I am surprised to realize my life has a theme song. The gentle hum of the dish washer, the thunkety thunk of the dryer, the swishing washing machine, and the clickety clacking computer keys all seem to come together to form the background music of my life. These are the sounds of a "well oiled machine" also known as my household. I can't even begin to imagine how difficult life must of been before these wondrous contraptions came to conception. Boiling hot water over and over again, scrubbing and sloshing and scrubbing again over and over. What a mundane and tedious existence. Words cannot describe how grateful I am not just to be a homemaker, but to be blessed to be one at this time in the world, where amenities like appliances are readily available to me. I am constantly amazed at the blessings I have and don't even appreciate......It makes me think twice about my possessions, my relationships, and my life as a whole. Today I will do my housework with a happy heart, happy and content to do the work necessary to make my family comfortable.
